Its Been a long time

Time really flies, its like 26 days since i last blogged... my last day of work was on the 7th of March 2008, in which i left employment to study full time and hopefully am able to catch up as much as possible (Taking 3 papers this rd). Im gonna analyse the papers that im gonna take so as to fulfill wat Sun Tze Says: (know ur enemy, 100 battles, 100 victories) well, in this case know my papers.
F8 -Audit paper is all Theory with like very minial calculations (ask u calculate materiality and sample size only la). A lot of rationalizing and memorising of Stds

F9 - Finance paper is on the other hand a mixture of theory and calculations. You must be able to calculate whether this particular project is is gonna generate a NPV and wether to use Rights issue or getting a loan to fund the project. I really like this paper and the best part is, its conducted by my favourite lecturer- MR. Saminathan. Need to memorise formular and applications, the rest up to u liao....

P3 - Business Analysis is another paper where u need to have the skills of analysing ratios and interpreting them. On the other hand, you must also be able to use all the available models to make recommendations and analyse the business model of the company. Also need to memorise models and theory, the applications wise....(need i say more)

For all this 3 papers, the good thing is, i've done it before during my Poly days, and they dun really seem foreign to me. The most worrying part is the application of the fundamentals and principles that is being taught.

Anyway, im revising on my F8 paper right now and things are going on smoothly. Hopefully i have enough time.

Over the past few weeks, many unhappy events have happened to me, in particular, the demise of my Grand Father. My Grand Father was known to many as a charitable, kind hearted, caring, loving and responsible father/Grand Father. It was when during my early secondary school days (Sec 1 i think) that my Grand Father was bedridden and could not really talk and eat properly. I remember him as Loving Grand Father who would always bring me to the coffee shop down at his house to buy me Pork Chop and Wan Ton Mee for lunch while he would sip away at his favourite Kopi - O.

I cant believe how coincidental some things maybe. i was gonna prepare to have an early Monday night (since i didn't have one when i started working) and was about to go to bed when my aunt called me to inform me about my grand dad's worsening condition. Upon hearing that, and since im no longer working, i offered to give a ride to my Aunt to my Grand Dad's place, the Doc's assessment wasn't very good, and he gave us 2 options - 1. Send him to hospital (only able to prolong his life) 2. Get him a respitory system to help him breath, in which we chose the later. After 1.30am where the respitory system was brought to and given to my grand dad, we left. Little did i expect that to be the last time i visit my Grand Dad in person, it was at 2:40am that we received news that my Grand Dad has passed on. It didn't really hit me that hard, but in my heart i know that my Grand Dad has stop suffering and he has gone to Paradise or Heaven or wherever his Faith has brought him to.

It was when they brought the coffine down to the void deck where it hit me that i have just lost a grand dad and would no longer be able to show or receive any love to/from him. Many Relatives and friends turned up during my Grand Dad's Funeral to pay their last respect. Though my Grand Dad has passed on, he will still remain in my heart and memory.

Following my Grand Dad's Funeral, we took time to fully revamped our house i.e. to Throw all unwanted stuffs and gave away stuff that are still usable. We even gave our house a new coat of paint. (some unhappy events happened to me, in particularly the colour of my room, in which i changed it back, ok, period).

So for at least 2 1/2 weeks since i tendered my resgination was i able to fully recharge myself and prepare for the June exams. Now for some of laughters:

1. I spotted this poster on a lampost at the junction across Tanjong Pagar MRT. It says stop the silent killer. In the first place, what has Swimming got to do with silent killer? i thought silent killer is cancer or something?

Ok, everyone or i would say, most of the people knows what Katana is, and how reliable and sharp and all the goodness about it, but do u believe a katana can slice a bullet into half just like in the movie? watch this clip to see if the blade breaks or the bullet gets halved.

What about the Machine gun test using a .5 Cali rd?

Ok, any guitar or rather Steve Vai fans here? this is the only movie that shows him being defeated in a guitar duel, dun think he ever gets humiliated like in the movie... Enjoy

Its True, Yeah its damn True:

fvcking is an Austrian village in the municipality of Tarsdorf, in the Innviertel region of western Upper Austria. It is located 32 km north of Salzburg and 4 km east of the border with Germany. The village is known to have existed as "fvcking" since at least 1070 and is named after a man from the 6th century called Focko. "Ing" is an old Germanic suffix meaning "people"; thus "fvcking," in this case, means “place of Focko’s people.
fvcking's most famous feature is a traffic sign with its name on it, beside which English-speaking tourists often stop to have their photograph taken. It is a commonly stolen street sign. Significant amounts of public funds are spent on replacing the stolen signs.
In 2004, due to the stolen signs and embarrassment over the name, a vote was held on changing the village's name, but the residents voted against doing so. In August 2005 the road signs were replaced with theft-resistant signs welded to steel and secured in concrete to make the signs harder to take.
Oh, and last but not least, im so happy and proud that my hard work last year has paid off and Thank God that i have been crowned the No. 1 in Singapore for ACCA paper F7 Dec 2007 sitting and i got a free Course for the upcoming July 2007 Intake. WOHOOOOOO. i want to thank all my dad, my mum, my sisters, uncles, aunties, grand ma, cousins, friends, teacher (Saminathan) and friends who help me in a way or other (machiam Star Awards)
Ok, now back to my studies to be the next No. 1 for June 2007 sitting.
